God was always first in John’s life; his family a near second. John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Mena where he had a multitude of different callings to serve. He was a faithful member for many years. John had a servant’s heart and thought more of his fellow man than himself. He loved spending the holiday season with his family, especially Christmas and the 4th of July. John was a very patriotic person and served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. John had many hobbies and loved to read about American History, loved to raise a garden, enjoyed going fishing and love to tinker.
