Dolores had many loves in her life, her beloved husband John and family came second only to God whom she acknowledged as her source of strength and the motivation for her life of service to others. Nothing gave her more joy than proclaiming the gospel and performing acts of charity and kindness. Dolores was an accomplished cook and baker; she enjoyed preparing meals for her family often finished by delectable desserts such as her famous pies and cobblers. She was an avid gardener which often prompted passers-by to stop and visit. Her hobbies included painting, water colors, sketching, and calligraphy. She was also a finished seamstress. The majority of her life was spent as a homemaker, followed by several years working in customer service at Wal-Mart.
