Una Monette Harvey

Una Monette Harvey passed away June 10, 2010, at home. She would have been 88 years old on June 13, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thabus Richard Harvey.

She is survived by daughters Nancy Ward of Mena, AR, and Marjorie Rousseau and husband George of Mena, AR; grandchildren: Tracy Sollis of Phoenix, AZ; Paul Preibus and wife Rebecca of Benton, LA; Lisa Weiss and husband Kerry of Mena, AR; Sally Ward of Ft. Smith, AR; Suzanne Setser and husband Matt of Gulf Breeze, FL; and Wendy Cline and husband Nathan of Mena, AR. She had eighteen great-grandchildren: Kyle, Kenneth, and Raven Codding and Khodi, Randi, and Rachael Sollis of Phoenix, AZ; Tate Preibus of Mena, AR and Casey and Emily Preibus of Benton, LA; Kady Jo and Cody Weiss of Mena, AR; George and Joey Setser of Gulf Breeze, FL; and Karley Jo, Whitley, Mallory, Zachary, and Kimberly Cline of Mena, AR.

Mrs. Una lived her life by the Golden Rule. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Mena and loved to share her faith. She had many hobbies in her life with cooking, gardening, Quilting and working in her flower beds. She also enjoyed reading her books. She was a charter member and secretary of the Illinois Boot and Saddle Club. One of her greatest accomplishments was being manager of Triple S Stamp Redemption Center in Hamden, Connecticut. Before her illness, Una was a door greeter at Wal-Mart. Una will be remembered for always having a smile on her face.

She lived a long and happy life until her passing due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's research or the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Cremation services are entrusted to Hall Funeral Service in Mena. No memorial services are planned at this time.
